Hello and Welcome

Introduction

Welcome to the Pre-Application Community Consultation (PACC) in respect of lands at no.4 Grange Lane and to the west of Millbridge, Hydepark Road, to the south of Hydepark Manor and c.40m east of Hydepark Mews, Mallusk, Newtownabbey. The proposal comprises the development of lands for the construction of high-quality housing development of c.130 – 150 dwellings to include garages, provision of open space and associated road works, which will connect to ‘Phase 2’ of the Mill Bridge housing development.

Purpose of Consultation and Next Steps

The purpose of this website is to share our indicative proposals and seek feedback from all stakeholders as part of the formal Pre-Application Consultation process, prior to submission of a Full Planning Application to Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council. This website forms part of the Community Consultation and is in addition to the previously held public event that took place last year (15th October 2024) at the Academy Sports Centre. This website will be active until 5pm on Friday 21st November 2025 to allow for visitors to make comment on the proposals.

We are committed to engaging with members of the wider Mallusk community and are now undertaking a period of Community Consultation on the proposal. The feedback received will be shared with the design team and will help to shape our proposals prior to submission of a planning application. We will prepare a Pre- Application Community Consultation (PACC) Report which will provide a summary of all feedback, our response and how we have incorporated any appropriate feedback into the final proposals for the scheme. This report will be submitted as part of the Full Planning Application to Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council.
